The Blur series started in 2020 with MSCHF’s "ecommerce performance art piece" Blur: a product that appeared to be a stack of US $20 bills, with a heavily blurred product photo. Customers had to purchase the item in order to learn what it actually was, but when consumers received their order they learned it was exactly what had been advertised: the object itself was genuinely blurry.
